On the same day, on September 21st 1949, our Brothers, Brian McGrath and Austin Linus McCormack, made their First Profession as Friars Minor. A commitment in which they have persevered these last seventy years.

Together with fellow Friars, family, friends and parishioners they marked the felicitous occasion with a worthy celebration of the Eucharist at St Thomas of Canterbury Friary Church, Woodford Green, Essex, followed by a reception and ample buffet meal in the parish Becket Centre.

This happy occasion brings to mind for us the two other previous Platinum Anniversaries of Profession of Fr Quentin Jackson in 2017 and Fr Boniface Kruger RIP in 2018.
