Originally from Liverpool and now resident at Blessed John Duns Scotus parish, Glasgow, Fr Eddie celebrated his 80th birthday on June 9th 2020.

Having spent 28 years in South Africa preaching and ministering the Gospel to the Zulu people he has now been 'on the missions' in Scotland since 2001 and as parish priest in Glasgow since 2005. 

Due to the lockdown restrictions of the Coronavirus crisis the lunchtime celebrations were had only with his two Franciscan confreres Ninian Arbuckle and George Smulski but a surprise visit was paid in the afternoon by the parish Saint Francis Pipe Band who gathered in the church car park and played, "Happy Birthday to You!" with an enthusiastic company of other parishioners.
